ImageCare Centers' state of the art modalities provide more patient comfort and the highest quality imaging available in northern New Jersey. The only good thing I can say is that every now and then they would buy the team lunch.ImageCare Radiology offers 22 convenient locations across norther and central New Jersey. Management here will also throw extra rolls/responsibility outside of your agreed duties onto you for the same pay. Where I am now, I pay a normal insurance rate for good coverage about $100 a month so they clearly lied. They lie and say "that's everywhere the insurance is going up". For the people who had family plans their insurance went up over $1,000. and that is the price for an individual plan. At the time of me leaving, insurance bumped up to $600 a month for the base tier. Used to be a normal rate of about $70-$100 a month for a decent package. They just print out a piece of paper with whatever new image testing study they offer for patients and that's your training. They make you feel guilty for taking days off and the training is a joke. Don't even waste your breath to tell management about this because they'll shoo you away. May not sound bad but when you get walk ins mixed with patients who have appointments coming to your window every 45 seconds, it gets overwhelming. Management leaves you understaffed to deal with a room full of patients all by yourself. If you are willing to kiss butt you will move up with this company, otherwise prepare to just answer phones all day long and be miserable. They care about their patients, but NOT their employees. PTO and Sick time are "earned" and healthcare insurance is bottom of the barrel. On top of all of that, their "benefits" are ridiculous. Usually these are the ones that management likes the most. They pretend to be your friend, but will be the first to run to management or another employee to talk about you. If you are not one of the people they like, your work life there will be torture. If they have an issue with an employee they rarely address them, but will tell everyone else. They will be nice to your face, then immediately talk about you to everyone behind your back. Management is basically a high school clique. You kind of just figure it out as you go. When you make mistakes, you are told to fix them, but not told how. When you ask questions you are just told to "reference" your binder. When you start, you are paired up with another employee that is just annoyed to have you next to them. All in all I definitely feel a sense of purpose coming into work each day instead of a feeling of dread and thoroughly enjoy the work I do every day as well as the patients I get to talk to and my coworkers. The only downside I'd say, and it's not a big one, is that communication between departments and silos is sometimes lacking and miscommunications happen, which isn't a deal breaker. Plus office-wide luncheons on occasion are an obvious plus. , but also weekends off, paid holidays off, and better pay. I get the same benefits I did at my other job: 401k, health insurance, paid vacation, sick time, etc. The reason I chose this job when the opportunity presented itself was the fact that the hours were set each day and only Monday to Friday, whereas previously I was working crazy long shifts, usually before the crack of dawn and through the weekends which was making me feel burnt out. The office setting is wonderful and I get to work with a diverse group of people who have become a strong foundation to my daily routine. Coming from a food service background it was easier for me to connect immediately with patients and I find it extremely gratifying when I make a connection with a patient who I am helping. I feel like I have learned so much from this job within the past few months that I wouldn't have learned otherwise. Coming from a previous background in food service / retail work to an office setting feels like a breath of fresh air.
